It only costs 2 and you can untap an 8/8 any time you want as much as you want, and only has a casting cost of 5? This should cost 13. Maybe add "can only untap at the beginning of your untap phase". It should cost 8 to come out then.

I see your point, I didn't think to add something like "can only untap once per turn" but I think if I had added that, the 5 cost would be just fine, as it would then cost 2 each turn to actually use it

The only problem with it is the casting cost. Artifacts tend to cost more colorless mana than colored cards cost colored mana per P|T. As an 8P|T, I'd say it's along the lines of 9-10 CMC.
