General description:
OK a 1 power for 4 cost card may not blow up your skirt, but the strength of this card isn't in its power, it's in its ability. After reading some of the comments in different decks, I thought I would take a moment to give Crash his props.

Fetch used cards to repeat their effects (at lease every other turn)

Strategies and game play:
While certainly, as I will comment below, Crash shines in multiplayer games, he is not without his uses in PvP games. Sometimes a chump attacker/blocker that can also grab another useful card can make the deference in humanities survival (or at lease your own).

Personally, I reserve Crash for my multiplayer decks. Along with the usual wall, control, and influence gaining tricks of Persuasion, Crash can recycle anything that is needed to keep you in the game. A favorite target of mine is Executive Privilege. The truly great thing about this is that players will tend not to attack you knowing that you’ll just cancel all the damage for the rest of the round, so you get to watch other players influence drop and Crash reset to alert.

Also by having four Crashdowns in a deck, you will have more opportunity to stack him after fetching a card and in so doing refresh him to be able to use his ability on the next turn.

Combos with other cards:
Despite being killed by him in the series, Crash gets along very well with Dr. Baltar: Award Winner. When using the refresh/stacking trick noted above, you can sac the bottom Crash and fetch him with Baltar. Now you have a refreshed Crash on the board ready to pull out a card next round, and you have a Crash in hand to refresh him again. With enough resources and another Baltar in hand you can do a whole lot of recycling.

Ways to counteract it:
Crash suffers the plight of any other personnel since there is so much control that is dedicated to their disruption. Also multiplayer games tend to have the more elaborate control options like Security Six/Baltar combos, or Zerek. Still the stacking trick noted above does help with some of these problems. The interesting thing is when the throw away rare that some people laugh at becomes the ire and target of so many resources.

It’s all about the ability. Being an Officer is just gravy for some mission requirements.

Its cost keeps him out of PvP games, and his power isn’t much of a threat on its own.

Artwork and aesthetics:
I don’t particularly care for the art on this card. First off Crash’s head is darker and obscured by shadows while Boomer has a lit helmet therefore drawing attention to her instead of the named character. The quote is OK, and I guess in a round about way relates to the card’s ability, but I’ve never made that distinction before now.

Overall rating:
I give this card a 7 out of 10. While Crash’s ability is very good, his cost keeps him out of the most played PvP environment.

yes i can see his uses in a multi player game. Espically a Pers. Wall deck like you have already. just pullin out more and more exc. Priv. over and over again. Sweet.

However, NEVER worth it in a 1vs1, just like you stated. I would have givin this card a 3 not a 4.
