Admiral Ackbar is one of the Light Sides most recognised characters. He is cheap to deploy onto Home One, with only 2 Force. His ability to offer 3 to power of any capital starship he pilots is great. Not many characters offer that amount of Power when piloting starships.

Force Attuned is good also, as this allows him to stay around on the table longer. Cheaper deployment of capital starships with –1 Force is very helpful. Also, the ability to take one Mon Calamari character or Admiral’s Order from Reserve Deck into hand is a great way to get other character’s and Admiral’s Orders on the table. Although, you can only do this once per game. Admiral Ackbar also functions as a leader.
