General description:
4/5. Three Mana. WOW!

Big hitter. Big blocker.

Strategies and game play:
This card isn't exactly complicated to figure out. You pay GGG. You stop the other guy in his tracks.

Combos with other cards:
The best combos with this card are Garruk Wildspeaker, Overwhelming Stampede, and Unnatural Predation. Basically, big guy + trample = win.

Ways to counteract it:
Hmm...Pray? Of course all the basic removal, counters, and black easy-kill will knock him off. If you're running red, you may have to double you're burn. That, or use Act of Treason and then Fling it back.

He's cheap. He's big. And... he loves you? But seriously, this is the epitome of what green's all about.

Leatherback doesn't really have much in the way of evasion, he's just super tough.

The original is from Worldwake. There is a foil alternate art released as a promo.

Artwork and aesthetics:
Not the best art I've seen out of green. It displays a massive beast rampaging through a forest or something, demolishing a statue and something that looks like a tree. And of course, as with most if green creatures, some little tiny people trying to run away, kind of like a size comparison.

Overall rating:
It's kind of hard to say. I've seen lot of great play with this card. He can easily be taken out of the game, but if left unchecked, he'll dominate the field. Anywhere from 7-9.5

This card hits the battlefield very quickly and doesn't get removed very fast. Give him trample and you hit your opponent really bad.
