A classic game strategy, as old as set 12, which was around in one form or another, but usually a rather restricted deck type. It picked up again with the appearance of Baiken.

Make the opponent attack you and trigger an effect that let's you play these creatures.

This one is a rather weirded out 5 Civ. one, but it has all the 3 major "Admirals" as they are come to be known. As in, the 6000 powered, Double Breaking kind.

If one gets 2-3 of them out, usually fast, it's on a roll. And there are 2 rather very good ways to trigger it in this deck, that is, once you induced Slime Veil, or against decks that naturally attack:

1) Hundred Eyes, backed up by Aqua Super Emeral.

2) Antoinette, which is not likely to be destroyed naturally, and as such, that's where Super Sachihoko Castle and Falconer come in. Falconer does work well with Baiken as well.

This deck is not really my style, as it waits and lures the opponent in for trapping, however, even as 5 Civs, it's rather decent and worth a few shots here and there.

Other variations that would be more stable can be made however, such as 3 or 4 Civs only, with more means being available such as Forced Frenzy, Emergency Typhoon, Glais, Aqua Anchor, etc.

It's a rather "fancy deck" of DM however, and as such it is good for presenting the game. Rate and enjoy.

Why, this Deck was built by nerafim, that guy who rage-quit when he got owned by Deck of Diplomats IX and rated it with a 1! Anyway, I would not comment in a biased manner, I'm not that petty. Anyway, I don't see how this Deck is 'tricky', but then again, these are all new cards, so I guess I have no right to judge.

Lol wut? I didn't "rage quit" I was just admitedlly a bit frustrated when there was a high chance for me to have triggered something that early on to get a good defense out, but I didn't. When somebody wants to test something of course they do not want random occurrences happening.
Gtfo...

I did rate your deck low, but that's because you started it, and tbh, yours really is low.

And this deck needs more work, but it's quite something too actually.

Oh, so you were testing your Deck too, huh? Explains alot. My friends who were watching told me you were AGKing or something. But don't just disappear, you left me wondering, "What in the name of Shinki was happening?" Anyway, rate with your honest opinion.

These cards are new, and I don't know how to use them properly. In my opinion, the expansions kind of ruined the game. Threw it into imbalance. Actually, it looks kinda strange, but it's just me, I guess. Since I'm alien to Japanese DM. DM in Singapore has gone out of print, sadly. T____T

Oh yea, did I rate your Deck low?

Yeah, you did rate it low. I can see who posts a vote, remember? And then I followed your name to your decks more or less, lol. Well I am never one to hold a grudge anyway, and it seems votes can be corrected.

AGKing?O.o...Air Gear?

Anyway, about the expansion thing and extra sets. See, the original Japanese game has some rules, and those rules were kind of changed when the game was released to the outside world, which was a bad kind of thing.

The original game has the primary rule of all decks needing to have EXACTLY 40 cards. They changed that as it was released outside Japan, and that wasn't exactly a good move gameplay wise.
And the game in Japan, currently, with the 33 sets has a ban and restriction list which you can find on the forums.

The game isn't really as messed up or "thrown into imbalance, nor ruined...It's actually fine but people don't try to play by the actual rules and therefore the challange level kind of drops and some things just become insanely easy to play with over 40 cards and so forth. That's all there is to it really.

Sigh... I miss the days when DM was simple... but those days are over now

Anyway, in my country(it's really small), you don't get many great cards, and DM is out of print there. I guess I just have to find other 'old-fashioned' people to play with then. Or maybe I could try Pokemon.

DM is out of print everywhere outside Japan actually, lol. And yeah I know quite a bit about Singapore too, heard stuff from other people from there as well.

And this might be surprising but DM doesn't actually change that much in it's basic principles and behaver as a game with the sets moving on. Though I guess it takes a more experienced eye and proper skill display to see that. As for the insane increase in the apparent power level of cards, that's true on some level but they are also not that batshiet.

Either way, look This is actually rather easy, and I think you'd like this. You might not seem to know this but there is a much larger community for Duel Masters, just only a side comes here.
There is actually this place where people play the game with earlier sets, we pretty much continued from where the English game left off. We play on a program with 16 sets and some extra promos and more appropriate game formats. And the amount of activity and level of skill and challenge is also significantly higher than here.

Well not trying to advertise, but I think that is something that you are looking for more. So go to duelzone.org and the forums will pretty much guide you to anything that you need to know. Also drop by our IRC chats, that will help and you can find me there too.
This is actually just the thing for you, so I strongly recommend it.

Pokemon is totally not the same thing as DM. I mean it's a much different game type, even as card games.

I'll have a look, thanks. Anyway, I don't think that I would be hanging around here much often now. Man, I miss DM. It's been a while since I played with real cards...

Yeah the English game ended quite a while ago. It's been like 2-3 years now since they cut off support, meaning no more set releases, game development and sanctioned events. Then it seems they stopped printing it in 2008.

TERROR DRAGON is used in this deck. According to me that is simply waste.
COCCU LUPIA should be used as there are dragons in this deck.
